Re: backup1.prioritycolo.com - Upgrade - 21-Aug-2010

You wrote "Saturday March 21st, 2010" and "Monday March 23rd 2010". I'm guessing you meant August instead of March.

Re: Spamassassin problem

It appears to be fixed now. I no longer get an unusually high number of SA false positives. And the "grossly in future" tag is not in the ones that are false positives. If there are any more that are improperly tagged, I'll forward them.

Thanks Myles.

Re: Spamassassin problem

It's been steady since Jan 1 (Friday). I've checked just now and found some from this evening. I get regular email from a mailing list and they're tagged as such.

Can you manually update cpanel again?

Spamassassin problem

Happy New Year! Since January 1, 2010, Spamassassin has been tagging practically every email as spam. It tags everything as having a "date grossly in the future" and gives a score of 3.4. I googled this problem and found this at the cpanel forums: http://forums.cpanel.net/f43/spamassassin-...

Re: forwarding email to multple addresses?

Keep doing the same thing over and over again, one at a time, but with different destination addresses. I have it set up like that for several accounts already and that's how I did it. AFAIK, you can't do a bulk entry of destination addresses, unless you make a mailing list. Go to the forum on Cpane...

Re: forwarding email to multple addresses?

Login to Cpanel, look for email properties somewhere (there are several skins that differ), choose forwarders, enter the destination email addresses in the box. Or your client can do this by logging into his or her email account's webmail interface and choosing forwarders. Of course, if you forward ...

Symbolic links showing as directories

I noticed that the FTP server on www5 is showing symbolic links as directories. I had a problem when I deleted a symbolic link; the source directory was deleted as well (I had a backup). I went through the detailed logs in my FTP client and found the directory named "2007" as a "dir&q...

You're welcome.

I should have added that there's also a secure webmail link, which is:
https://www.domain.com:2096

Don't forget the https at the front of the link, and the :2096 at the end.

Take care.

I have also noticed a sharp decrease in the amount of spam. I'm wondering if the server automatically looks at a block list then bounces suspected spam.

If so, this is not really what I want. I prefer fully unfiltered email delivery.

Can anyone at Priority Colo confirm whether this is happening?

SpamAssassin is changed

I checked my spambox today and found that the subject header no longer shows the custom one that I created. This can be changed, but not in cpanel. Also, the spam is not attached to the email, which is safe if you want to open the email. Instead, all the spam info is in the header of the email. Why ...

I don't know why it may be happening for you, but you can try:
https://my_primary_ip:2087/

The above is for a secure connection. If it doesn't work, try:
http://my_primary_ip:2086/

The trailing slash is important in the above examples.

If domain 'y' is either parked on top of or is an addon domain to domain 'x', they both share directories. (Because domain 'x' is the cpanel account, but domain 'y' is piggybacked on top of domain 'x' as an addon domain or parked domain.) Your best option would be as an addon domain because it will ...

I think this answers why there's a difference: http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/awstats_faq.html#DIFFERENT_RESULTS Basically, it says AWStats and Webalizer interpret the raw data differently. This can be said for all web statistics programs. The raw data file is the final say and can be downloade...
