21-Feb-2014 - Tor1 HVAC Upgrades

Post by porcupine »

Hello Everyone,

Please be advised of the following maintenance activity:

Maintenance Window: Friday February 21st, 2014 - Tuesday February 25, 2014
Facility: Tor1 - 151 Front Street West
Affected Device: HVAC2.tor1, HVAC3.tor1
Affected Customers: Colocation Customers
Service Impacting: No - Precautionary maintenance notice

Details: This maintenance notice is being issued with regards to upgrades to our HVAC units in our Tor1 facility. In an effort to help increase redundancy, we will be adding two water pumps, along with bypass loops, and variable speed controllers to the aforementioned HVAC units. This will allow us to additionally regulate, and pull water from the building chilled water loop in the event of an incident with the building pumps/pressure/etc.

The HVAC's will be powered down one at a time, while plumbing is re-worked to accommodate the pumps. This operation should not have significant impact upon the suite, however we are issuing the notice because Colocation customers should expect some disruption to local work table/areas adjacent to the HVAC's, as contractors are working under the floor. Priority Colo staff will be present while work is being done, which we expect will likely occur on Friday, potentially Saturday, and Monday. We anticipate having the pumps online before the March 1st 151 Front St. W. annual power maintenance.

Customers who have any questions, or concerns with regards to this maintenance should contact me directly (myles@prioritycolo.com) for additional details.
