Toronto G20 Summit - Access Information
Posted: Mon May 03, 2010 2:42 am
Hi Guys,
As some of you are already aware, the G20 summit is coming to the convention center directly adjacent to 151 Front St, at the end of June.
As a result of this, during the summit conference (June 25th, 26, and 27th), and potentially the weeks leading up to it, there will be considerable security measures impacting the downtown Toronto core. There will be two distinct security zones, the inner, and outer. We have been informed by the RCMP and Toronto Police Department that 151 Front Street will be located within the outer zone, and have been urged to ensure that anyone potentially requiring access to the zone during this period gets accredited with the Toronto Police Department to ensure access remains as unhindered as possible.
Our current information indicates that Vehicular traffic will be permitted along Front St. until June 23rd. After this point, vehicular traffic (and parking) within both zones will be denied until the 28th. Customers who fail to get accredited should still be able to access 151 front st, but can expect extensive delays.
We are recommending that if at all possible, customers avoid scheduling any maintenance windows, migrations, adding or removing equipment, tours, etc. during this period, and exercise common sense with their planning and perpetrations.
Customers who wish to be accredited, should submit the following information in reply to this email (for themselves, and any staff, vendors, etc. who may require access):
- First Name
- Last Name
- Full Personal Address
- Company Name
