Scheduled www2 & www3 Maintenance - 13-Feb-2023 - 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Posted: Fri Jan 20, 2023 4:01 pm
Maintenance Windows: Monday, February 13th, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Eastern Time
Facility: Tor1 - 151 Front St. W.
Affected Device(s): www2.pcdc.net, www3.pcdc.net
Affected Customers: Shared/Reseller Hosting Customers
Service Impacting: Yes - Software Upgrade.
Details: Removing end-of-life PHP versions from both reseller servers (www2.pcdc.net & www3.pcdc.net).
Note: Any customers with domains using PHP 7.3 or 7.4 should upgrade/migrate any code or scripts before the maintenance to be compatible with PHP 8.x and switch the domains over to PHP 8.x via the MultiPHP Manager in cPanel (Software > MultiPHP Manager).
1. The system's default PHP version will be changed from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.1. Customers who have domains set to inherit (do not have a PHP version explicitly set) will have their domains and sites under those domains switched to PHP 8.1.
This may cause some sites to break; see the note above.
2. Customers with domains set to PHP 7.3 or PHP 7.4 will be switched to PHP 8.1.
This may cause some sites to break, see the note above.
3. PHP 7.3 and PHP 7.4 will be removed from both reseller servers (www2 & www3). They reached end-of-life on Dec 6th, 2021 and Nov 28th, 2022, respectively, and are both unsupported and no longer receive security updates.
Thank you.
