Hi guys,

We will be replacing our Core2 router on Monday March 21st, between 4:00pm and 10:00pm EST.

We have completed our preperation, and testing our new Cisco Catalyst 6000 series router (with a new sup2/pfc2/msfc2), which based on independant tests should be more then capable of pushing more then 4 gigabits of real world traffic. Considering core2 currently handles less then 200mbps of traffic overall, this will equate to an upgrade of well over 20 times the necessary routing capacity, signifigantly increasing our network capacity.

Our Peer1 link will be migrated to the new router during this period, and the old core2 will be taken offline. Customers should not notice any impact from this maintanance, as the Peer1 link will be gracefully shutdown, until it has been migrated. Overall this maintenance period should not be service impacting.

The maintenance is now complete. As planned, no service outages were experienced by any customers.
