yeah, i already tried tricks like that, no dice :cry:

it seems like they strip out double dots (..) even when trying to escape (\.) them.

Im pretty sure this feature is available on cPanel. When you create an FTP account, I believe it tells you more about the feature. I know it lets you specify "userx" can only access "foldery" and so on. Im not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for though. the only opti...

additional ftp accounts below /public_html/ ?

hi all. i was wondering if it was possible to add a additional ftp users with access below /public_html/ in cPanel. i want to keep out my more sensitive includes (such as config files w/ mysql user/pass) outside public domain as well as *.tpl files i already use the main account to access everything...

yeah, the login-lag did seem to just dissapear but this was fixed after you posted the complete switch over to istop or peer1. are the routers still configured the same way it was before the blackout? i thought it was the switchover that fixed the login-lag and that new configuration w/ the routers ...

i doubt we have a power issue as i am on the west coast -- we werent affected by the power. what can i tell my isp to fix this problem? i'm not sure if they will even look into it because all other ftps work instantly. i still dont know why other ftp servers connect instantly but prioritycolo's take...

ftp login still takes a while. when doing the command again, real time is 0m0.014s so i guess it was cached after the first time i ran the command (quite a difference from 1sec to .014 sec), ie: it wasn't cached the first time. i'm sorry if i dont understand what is going on as i am not as technical...

that's really strange. i wonder why all other ftp servers i connect to are fine and the only one that takes a long time is prioritycolo.

yes, i do have a firewall (NAT + Norton) but i doubt this a factor as i was connecting "normally" after the servers were switched over and before the power outage.
