Hi Guys,
Well, that time has come again, it's time for all of the servers to have their kernels updated to the most recent version, as a new version has come out fairly recently. While there are no vulnerabilities with the current kernel, one can never been too well prepared. We will be updating all of the kernels tonight between 8:00pm and 3:00am tomorrow morning. We will attempt to push the actual reboots (the only part which will impact service) as far into the night/morning as possible to reduce the actual impact, as this is the time when the majority of the websites on these servers are active.
Customers should expect one or two 5 minute downtime periods as the servers are rebooted. Impact on your audience, and services should be minimal at most.
