Well,

One of our colocation subscribers was attacked (as you can see if you're quick on the mrtg) with a handslapping near 100mbps of DoS based traffic. As a result this user has been unplugged, and is being shipped back their equipment at their own expense.

While DoS attacks may not be the direct fault of the subscriber, we do not welcome them on our network, hence why we do not allow IRC, or IRC related connectivity, the mainstream of pornography, etc. to pass through our network. While they're not the customers fault, unfortunatly they've been made ours, and now their problem.

My sincere appologies for anyone who suffered from this outage, fortunatly it was brief (~5 minutes) our emergency pager immediatly notified us that the router was being saturated.

Regards,
