www6 has been rebooted, and is now back online.

The www6 server crashed from a kernel panic, which may indicate the memory was at fault.

Time to restoring service was delayed as we had put the www6 servers power cable into the wrong APC port. APC Masterswitches number in reverse (ports 1-8 go right to left, instead of left to right), thus while attempting to reboot the server, we were indeed attempting to power cycle an empty outlet.

To answer one question thats already been asked, none of the hardware form the old www6 server had been moved to the new one (drives, memory, processors), etc. nor had the OS been directly imaged to the new server, the new server had a new OS loaded by hand, then the content was moved using Rsync and the CPanel backups/transfer functions as previously noted.

We will be doing some preventative maintenance within the next hour, and swapping the memory, as a precautionary manner. While we are uncertain if there is a problem at that level, we have no shortage of memory onhand, and do not wish to take the www6 server down to test its memory in the current system, as such, we will simply swap it with new memory.

Anyone who feels that the recent www6 problems have driven their uptime below our guaranteed level, or would like to discuss this in any manner, please email me at your leisure.

Thanks for your patience.
