07-Dec-2003 sw1 & sw2 & www2-6 Maintenance

on Sunday December 7th, between 2pm and 9pm, we will be migrating sw1 and sw2 to a new power circuit. This will not affect sw01 (just to prevent any possible confusion).

Additionally we will be upgrading the kernels for the www2, www4, www5, and www6 servers.

Downtime is expected to be around 2 minutes per switch for the power migration's, and between 3 and 15 minutes per server for the kernel upgrades.

We appologise for any inconvinience this may cause given the relatively short notice

This maintenance didn't manage to get done last night. We will be rescheduling it shortly. My appologies for any inconviniences caused by this.

This network maintenance has been re-allocated to happen on Wednesday December 9th, between the hours of 12:00am and 5:00am. As predicted before, expected downtime per service is between 3 and 15 minutes.

All maintenance has gone smoothly, and was completed on time, concluding this maintenance window.
