Hello,

With our current web hosting company (the one we are leaving), we have three email accounts with a certain number of aliases for each account. I would rather keep it this way beacuse it suits out current internal email server's configuration.

Can you direct me on the method to set this up? If this is not possible, is there other alternatives that will not require me to make major changes to my server?

Thank you,

Mark

Hi there Mark,

After creating an account in WHM, you'll want to enter the CPanel end of the panel, then go to the mail management section. There you should see various email related options, and the ones to add/create aliases.

WHM is available for reseller accounts only. If you just have an end user account, simply log directly into CPanel.

Hello Myles,

There is no alias choice in Cpanel (I went through all the menus). Can you provide me with a solution and ensure the solution will work before replying to me? So far, the postings you have sent me have been no help.

Thank you,

Mark

Hello Mark,

I wasn't aware that CPanels wording was different, my error. The method to get to the given menu depends on the theme you are using, which on many accounts can be determined by the user. Since the location of the menu, available menu's, and wording can be different on each theme, we try not to be specific to a particular theme, but give general directions to avoid confusion should someone be using a theme other then the default one we set.

CPanel uses different wording on this one and actually calls them forwarders. on the Xskin and X2 themes they can be found under the top left menu labeled "mail" under the tag "Forwarders".
