04/23/2004 www2 & www4 Maintenance Window - 7:00pm - 6:0

Hi guys,

We will be taking down both the www2, and www4 servers for individual short periods of maintenance on 04/23/2004 during the later evening, or 04/24/2004 during the early morning. While the window is nearly 12 hours long, the actual maintenance will take approximately 5 minutes of downtime on the www2 server should all go well, and 15 minutes of downtime on the www4 server.

For the www2 server, we will be swapping in some new DDR ECC Registered RAM to bring its current capacity up to 1.5GB.

For the www4 server, we will be preventatively swapping out a old power supply to exchange for a new one, the fan on the current one has begun to make noise, and shows signs of wear, thus we will swap this out before it becomes a problem.

www2's maintenance has been completed sucessfully. www2 is now loaded up with 1.5GB of RAM and running smoothly again.
