Post by porcupine »

Hi guys,

It looks like we've encountered a Cisco bug in our msfc01.prioritycolo.com switch/router. We're going to be reloading the msfc mometarily in an attempt to clear the error out, as we've lost console and telnet access to the device.

This is the result of a semi-unknown HA related bug, and hopefully will be cleared upon reload. Downtime will be partial (less then a dozen customers affected), and our peer1 link will reset during this operation.

My appologies for any inconviniences this may cause.

Regards,

Well looking back at the results of this. It did end up that we were enable to get back into telnet, and were able to get back to the console, but unfortunatly this did not clear the counter issue (thus SNMP is still presently reading 0 kbps on all ports, even though traffic is flowing fine).

I will be posting a seperate maintenance notice for Saturday, between 12:00pm (noon) and 4:00pm, as its still not fully resolved. Chances are, we will be disabling HA (High Availability, redundant Sup2 cards, which was only temporary after all).
