Hi Guys,

Please be advised of the following maintenance window:

Maintenance Window: Saturday August 21st, 2010, 11:00am - Monday August 23rd 2010, 11:59pm EST.

Affected Device: backup1.prioritycolo.com
Affected Customers: Customers with accounts on backup1.prioritycolo.com, backups for reseller servers.
Service Impacting: Yes - Intermittent

Details: We will be performing a full hardware upgrade and operating system replacement of the backup1.prioritycolo.com server. All customer backups, files, crontabs, etc. will remain intact, however we will be replacing the base operating system with a more recent version of FreeBSD, and upgrading the storage to ZFS (in a RAID6 type of configuration, over the current RAID5 config). This should result in an enormous performance boost, ease additional expansion down the road, and provide additional fault tolerance for the arrays on which the customer backups are stored.

The length of this maintenance window is a direct result of the enormous volume of data in question that needs to be shuffled around for the file-systems to be upgraded/altered. The backup server, and its file-systems will be available for the majority of this maintenance period, and customers who require immediate access to their content during this maintenance can contact admin@prioritycolo.com for assistance retrieving any files that may be otherwise inaccessible due to the file-system modifications, etc.

You wrote "Saturday March 21st, 2010" and "Monday March 23rd 2010". I'm guessing you meant August instead of March.

Ack! Thanks for the correction there (that'll teach me to copy and paste from a previous unrelated notice).
