12-Sep-2014 - Upgrades to Hvac1.tor1 infrastructure
Posted: Mon Sep 08, 2014 7:04 pm
Hello Everyone,
Please be advised of the following maintenance activity:
Maintenance Window: Friday September 12th, 2014 - 7:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Time
Facility: Tor1 - 151 Front Street West
Affected Device: HVAC1.tor1
Affected Customers: Colocation Customers
Service Impacting: No - Precautionary maintenance notice
Details: This maintenance notice is being issued with regards to upgrades to the HVAC1 unit in our Tor1 facility. As part of our effort to increase the redundancy of the cooling system, HVAC1.tor1 is being removed from the existing chilled water loop, and has had new pipes run to a new chilled water loop on the 8th floor, meaning the 818 suite will now be fed from redundant cooling loops. Provisions have also been made to allow for a pump to be installed seamlessly down the road if necessary.
As HVAC1.tor1 has been powered down and on standby duty for several months, this event should have no discernible impact to conditions within the suite, however we are issuing the notice because Colocation customers should expect some disruption to work areas adjacent to the HVAC, as contractors are working under the floor. Priority Colo staff will be present while work is being done within the suite.
Customers who have any questions, or concerns with regards to this maintenance should contact me directly (myles@prioritycolo.com) for additional details.
